Well since my foot has gotten better after a small break to rest it, the PB’s have been popping out everywhere!!!

Went to Bedford international Games where there was a very special competition. Vesteine Haffsteinson came across from sweden with a few of his athletes, including olympic Discus gold medalist Gerd Kanter. It was a brill comp, but a bit of added pressure to do well, as i have contacts with the coach. I Pb’d twice that day and ended up with 44m 98. Not a huge Pb but a pb is all i wanted! =D

I Pb’d again at Loughborough the following week and finally broke the 45m barrier. 45m 30 to be precise. It felt so good, and it also moved me up to 3rd in the UK. So with that i was confident about going to Cardiff for the McCain challenge final that i had been invited to… until the day before i was ment to be going, i collapsed and completely gashed my chin open… a night in hospital wired up to all sorts of machines and 7 stitches later, im back home, but unfortunately missed Cardiff and can’t train untill i’ve healed =[ Bad times!! But i’ve got one more comp this year, so hopefully, i can have one last shot =]

Although shot putt isn’t my subject area, i decided to have a mess around with it at the end of a session and had it recorded. The video was sent, just as a joke to UKA’s head of Throws (we’re good friends) and he quite liked it and invited me to a shot masterclass with Don Babbit!!! He’s American and has coached some quality athletes (Olympic level)

As i thought the day couldn’t get any better, Adam Nelson and Reece Hoffa showed up (google it! lol) and started throwing with us! I couldn’t believe my eyes!! it was so surreal! So yeah, brilliant day with 2 olympic throwers and an amazing coach. What, a, day!!

(pictures are in my gallery as i can only upload one photo to my blogs)
