Since my last blog I’ve been to an Asda event where I met other athletes – nice to see another fencer there too – and practised being interviewed by the media. I enjoyed the day and learned some useful stuff.

I’ve also been to a training day with the new British national fencing academy. There were foilists and sabruers there as well as epeeists and we all worked really hard – on general fitness as well as fencing. One really good thing about the day was learning how to avoid injuries.

Last week-end was my first competition for a while – Birmingham international open, a comp for adults. Ended up 50th out of 139 – had the chance to fight some really good fencers.

Two competitions in Surrey next weekend – Elite epee junior series U16 grand final on saturday then Elite epee senior open on Sunday – should make a nice change from revsion!!!!!!!

Better than that the next day at the first Elite epee senior competition I managed to knock out one of the GB top 16 adults – so good experience for me.;)
