On Saturday I went to Sheffield for an assessment and if you do well you will get offered a a place into the ETD squad. This was my first time there and I really enjoyed it. There was different tests we had to complete the press up bleep test, the running bleep test, vertical jump, sit and reach and at the end of the day a Judo assessment. I did well in the press up bleep and the running bleep test but I think I need to try and improve on the sit and reach.

This weekend I am doing an all day traing session with the Russian coach Andrew Moshanov and I am competing in the South coast open on Sunday.

Two weeks ago I went to an all day session at Walderslade Judo club. I really enjoyed it and as a surprise Craig Fallon was there!! He was there because another coach couldn’t come. I learnt a new rollover which has helped me alot since I had learnt it.

The next day I had a Judo competition, I came second. I was upset with my result because I had beaten the girl many times before and I only lost by a Yuko. I will learn from my mistakes and will hopefully beat her next time I fight her.

Yesterday (Sunday) I went to a Backing Talent in Kent all day workshop. We learnt how to deal with the media, nutrition and much more. I met new people and Kelly Holmes was there which was amazing!

The Southend International was a very good competition. I had some very good fights and gained loads of experience. I won a silver medal and was very proud of everyone who took part from my Judo club because they all did very well :)
