Hello everyone,

Really sorry haven’t written anything for a long time.

After the European trials show in May I was selected to jump for GB on a Nations Cup team at Hagen in Germany. I was thrilled to be selected for the team as its what I’ve been working towards all year. Unfortunately 4 days before i was leaving for Germany i took some other horses to a show the first few horses i jumped really well and i had some placings but the last horse I was jumping at the end of the day is a big mare and I’ve only ridden her once before, I was jumping her in a 1.30cm class and she tends to jump to big over the fences were she is a bit green. I was clear when i came to the last jump in the class and she jumped me clean off over the fence, i landed running next to her but fell to the ground from a pain in my knee. Later that night i went to the hospital to get it checked, I had an MRI scan which showed that i had ruptured my ACL ligaments in my knee and had also torn 3 other ligaments

This meant i could not go to Germany to ride on the Nations cup team and also missed selection for the Europeans two weeks later! I am riding again now on the flat but not back jumping yet :( waiting on dates to see a surgeon because i have to have a op to re-construct the ligament. I have missed so many shows because of this including Horse of the year show. fingers crossed i will know whats happening soon! Will keep you updated.

Hello everyone, have some news from the surgeon. I am able to see him on the 22nd November, but this isn’t the appointment for the op. My knee is feeling more stable now, so I’m hopefully going to a show the week after this to see how my knee holds up with not having the op! Will keep you up-to-date on how the ridings going and if i hear anymore from the hospital.
