It is huge blow to hear the news that we are losing another show centre in the south of England. Towerlands Park has been one of the best show centres available to competitors in the south, holding both junior and senior premier shows, 2nd round qualifiers and Inter nations competitions. It’s loss means for us much greater travelling distances, more expense travelling and a total lack of any premier show centre now in Kent or Essex. The final show will be held at the end of October leaving a huge dent in local competitions.

On a brighter note we travelled to Patchetts on the 4th and although the M25 proved to be it’s usual nightmare, I had a good day with placings on all the horses, this is a venue that we will be travelling to more often.

Good news was received by post this week that I have been put forward for the final selection of the World Class Development Programme. I will be attending trials and an interview in November.

I am really lucky to have been given the opportunity to ride for Guy Williams. Guy is currently ranked no 2 in the country and obviously there is alot I can learn from him. At the moment I ride for Guy every morning and then ride my horses in the afternoon, it will be so much easier once ive passed my driving test so i dont have to keep getting lifts backwards and forwards!!

I went to Patchetts with Guy last Monday, I took Ted and also rode one of Guys horses which was exciting! Even better, Ted won the biggest class of the day.

Have a very busy day today, have got to get ready for a show at Crofton Manor, we leave early tomorrow still have tack to clean, horses to bath and one to clip!! Best go and get on with it….
