The England Volleyball Association has been trying to create a National Volleyball Academy to run for athletes aged between 15 and 18 to be in full time training alongside their college studies. I was selected to go to the meeting to talk about it and find out more. The decision was that the academy was going to be running in Loughborough at the 6th form college opposite the University. 3 girls have chosen to go to the academy and 8 boys are attending.

At the moment we have trained twice and are are having our physical body conditions tested, so balance and muscle strength.

The programme so far is really good and at the moment i am living in the halls of residence with the rest of the volleyball lot. We are having great fun.

I am off to a volleyball tournament in Sweden tomorrow to play in an adult competition, Got to catch the plane at 6:30 from Stansted! That is so early!
