I have had a busy start to the season so far and looking back on my results considering they have mostly been u19 or adult tournaments I am happy! I recently played the U19 wimbledon open where me and partner Ryan McCarthy reached the semis losing to the top seeds and me and scratch partner Jess Fletcher also lost in the semis to a higher seeded pairing, in u19 events you get prize money and so I went home a little bit richer!

I have only played one u17 domestic event so far and my last few tournaments have again been u19, I played u19 wycombe this last weekend and had a very good tournament, losing in both finals to more experienced pairs. In the mixed semi we did well to come through playing two players from my age that I know very well after losing the first set,we fought back to win in the third set 21-19 after a very long and entertaining match!

Over the weekend I played in the U17 York Gold and managed to come back with two golds in the doubles and mixed playing with my two u17 domestic partners. This was a very good performance and I am very happy to have won both events without even dropping a set this weekend! Hopefully I can continue this form to nect week, where I play for Lancashire senior county in prem b!

This weekend I played for Lancashire first team in the senior county Prem B weekend. Prem B is the second division in senior county championships and there are three weeekends across the year where you play three counties at each. We played Leinster and Surrey 2nd team on Saturday and I lost both my two matches in each match, and overall the team lost 8-2 against both teams. On the Sunday we played Yorkshire 2nd team and after a tough and long match we managed to win 3 games, losing 7-3, this time I won my mixed and lost my doubles. Although I only won one match out of 6 I learnt alot and playing seniors is about gaining experience and trying to help the team!

Hopefully a few of our more experienced players will be back for the next weekend!

I go to Northumberland U19 on Thursday, Friday I play the team event for England and then over the weekend the individual starts, wish me luck!

Last weekend I went to Northumberland to play in the U19 Northumberland international. Although it is a U19 tournament, England sent an u17 team to play against Scotland ‘A’ and ‘B’, Sweden/England and a Welsh team. We managed to win all of first three matches and then it came down to us against Scotland ‘A’ of who would win. Unfortunately their team was too strong and we lost 3-2! In the individual I played with my u19 partners Lauren and Ryan, in the doubles reaching the quarter finals before losing to the 4th seeds 21-19, 21-17. In the mixed we reached our seeding of getting to the semi finals, where we lost to the eventual winners 21-17 20-22 21-16.

I had a few days off and am now back training ready for the Welsh International Series next Wednesday, a senior international on the european circuit!
