I recently played the U19 nationals held in my hometown of Milton Keynes, this was my last domestic tournament this year so I really wanted to end on a high! Last year me and my partner Ryan McCarthy managed to play the best we ever have and we got to the final after beating seeded pairs and potential winners on the way, so we were hoping for the same again. In the doubles we were very unfortunate to draw the 3rd seeds and eventual runners-up in the first round where we lost in straight sets, this would turn out to be our last game as a partnership and so it was a disappointing way to end.

In the mixed we were 6/8 seeds and so were seeded to reach the quarters, we came through our first two matches comfortably and in the quarters came up against the 4th seeds who we had lost to twice this year in 3 sets. Like the previous two matches we took the first set 21-10 and then went on to lose, losing the next two 21-17 21-19.

I now have a senior county weekend coming up which is really important for us as we need the points to avoid relegation, wish us luck!

The team for 6 nations has just come out today and I got picked!

Its an U17 event that this year will be taking place in France at the start of May. We have a squad of 6 boys and 6 girls going, with quite a few younger girls being picked which is really good for them! Hopefully we can do well and get some medals instead of Denmark dominating like usual!
