Halloween sweet treats

On Tuesday 4th September we held an ASDA Halloween PR Event to showcase our fabulous halloween products across the business.

Whether you’re throwing a Halloween party with friends or stocking up for trick or treating, we have everything you need at your ASDA Bakery.

Our Bloodcurdling eyeball cake and Frankenstein chocolate cake great centrepieces to impress your guests. Have fun with the kids by decorating our build your own Halloween gingerbread house.

Aisle Spy Bakery Blog

This Monday Asda unveiled The Greenhouse – our own label food development centre, part of Asda House. For this event, colleagues entered into a cake competition which was sponsored by the Extra Special brand – Leiths. We had lots of brilliant entries.

The winning cake was ‘Baker Street -The best jubilee street party in England!’ The winners Jemma and Ed were delighted and received a day lesson at the cookery school Leiths, with runners up getting cookery books and aprons.

A big well done to everyone that entered!

Back in April we won the GOLD GROCER award for our amazing Lemon Daisy Cupcakes. Having sold 5 million individual cupcakes since we launched back in April 2010 this a very proud moment for us and the Bakery Team.

We collected our award from London and here’s the picture of Ros the buyer collecting it!

But we didn’t stop there as our Toffee Loaf Cake also won a Bronze award….

It’s the “National Cupcake Awards” in Sept and once again our beautiful Vanilla Butterfly has been shortlisted…fingers crossed it wins!

Why not try the other flavours too – Double Choc, Strawberry glitter or my favourite Maple and Walnut! There’s 2 new flavours coming soon too……
