Asda Active

Join us for Asda Active and take up a new sport this summer

We’ve launched a new and exciting community initiative called Asda Active which is aimed to help you and your family discover, and get involved in, some of the great sports and fitness activities from within your local area.

We’re already up and running with fun days in parks and fields in 20 locations around the UK – giving you and the kids the chance to have a go at everything from football and cricket to Zumba and athletics.

Check out the map at the top of this page to see if there’s an event near to you – then fill out the registration form on your local event page to be guaranteed a place.

All forthcoming events are free and your kids will hopefully take home the inspiration to try a new sport or activity in this historic Olympic year.

Asda Active builds on the work we’ve been doing with the national charity Fields in Trust to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee by protecting 2,012 outdoor spaces from development and ensuring local kids and future generations have somewhere to relax and play.

The FIA and their partner Sport England have teamed up with Asda to create the Asda Active campaign at 20 of these protected sites. Each of the Asda Active zones will be supported by Fields in Trust, Games4Life and some key sports providers and promoters.

There’s also a chance for you to support some of the fantastic local clubs in your area – we’ll be handing over cheques for £300, £200 and £100 to three local clubs and you can vote for your favourite on your local Asda Active event page.

Asda Active kicked off at Sandbach on 26th May and runs right through the summer.
