Asda Foundation: How to apply

How to apply

Unfortunately, The ASDA Foundation can only support a limited number of requests received direct from registered charities and local community groups.

We are set up to support requests which have the direct support and involvement from our colleagues locally. Please contact your local Store or Depot to see if this is something they are able to support. What can you apply for?

What can you apply for? The ASDA Foundation is set up to assist any charity in the UK as well as people and projects who require financial assistance. The ASDA Foundation won’t consider applications where the money is to be used for salaries or will be paid into general funds. How to apply?

How to apply? The ASDA Foundation receives many requests for support each year so unfortunately we can’t support each cause that applies. We will look at each application based on criteria and merit – this is why you should provide as much information as possible on the application on how this will benefit the local community. What happens then?

What happens then? Once the Trustees have made their decisions (based on the information you provided) you will be informed whether your application was successful.

Your donation will then be paid in the form of a cheque from the ASDA Foundation and we look forward to supporting you and the good causes in your community.

The Trustees’ decision and discretionary is final.

What happens then?

The ASDA Foundation has a dedicated manager plus 9 Trustees to oversee its affairs.

The Trustees are:

Foundation Manager Julie Ward – ASDA House

Internal Paul Kelly – Chairman – Corporate Affairs Director Clive West – Operations Director – New Business Katherine Paterson – Director of Brand and Marketing Emma Fox – Commercial Director Deborah Grass – Head of Local Marketing and Community Annmarie Rocks – Events Co–Ordinator – ASDA Parkhead Store Martin Reynolds – Events Co–Ordinator – ASDA Lutterworth Depot

External David Wickert – Chapel and York – London John Cookman – Retired ASDA Director

All of our trustees are passionate about supporting and making a difference to local charities and the communities where we live and work.

The trustees meet once a quarter to go through the management accounts, looking at new ideas the Foundation can be involved with to make sure the Foundation supports as many local charities/community projects as possible throughout the year.
